It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine.

It's the end of the world as we know it.  We might not blow up or otherwise be terminated, but maybe, just maybe, the world is on the cusp of change for the better.  Once I can gather my thoughts a bit more coherently on the topic, I'd like to say a few things about Newtown.

Maybe tomorrow.

Anyways, I'm glad we've made our big change, and can now work on the little changes. The day I arrived here, I made three resolutions to which I've stuck since that time.   Probably the longest resolution adherence I've ever accomplished. These three changes were as follows, in descending order of importance:

1. Make an effort to be positive, to give people the benefit of the doubt and try not to be so hard on others.

2. Not to cut my hair. For a while... not sure for how long, but it's been several months now and I think I'm going to keep growing.

3. TMI moment... I'm not going to wear a bra.  Just because.  Guys, think of it this way - can you imagine wearing a jock strap all day, every day?  Some women absolutely have to wear one, but I'm not one of them (a bra, not a jock) so... I'm just not going to.  So there.  Ok, maybe in the summer. But until then...

So, on the eve of the apocalypse I leave you with this, dear friends:

Be good, be brave and be strong - whatever that means for you.

I'm thinking of you tonight, dear cousin.

  2. What sacrifices you have made dear daughter. You are safe with the sewing machine. You are clearly better with it than I am. Although I should have threatened to come and get it. So we are on the eve of Christmas. This is when I miss everyone that is no longer close to me in body but I keep their spirit close. I made a scarifice also. I quit at the upgrader and will work full time at the health line which means less money but more time off. It was like a weight off of my shoulders. Merry Christmas to you Laura and to my sweet sweet boy. I miss him so much and think of you guys often. Love the blog
