Our house is a very, very, very fine house...

A couple of photos of the living room on Thursday afternoon, avec notre junk.

View from the kitchen whilst standing on a stool.

Looking straight into the tempest!
We've made a lot of progress over the past two days, and most of the boxes have been unpacked.  We only have a couple boxes of books left and some of our clothing to be put away.  I can't wait 'til the mantle arrives this week - we've got a lot of photos to put up there, plus our Xmas stockings!

We purchased a 9' tall tree today, and it's currently unfurling itself in the corner, to the right of the fireplace.  This perplexes Truman, who can't figure out why there is a big plant in the house, nor why it is making noise every so often.  He's sitting on his cozy, ears perked, head cocked, staring at the tree.

Our CD player and speaker wire arrived yesterday and Laur has hooked everything up. With Vince Guaraldi wafting gently through the living room and a glass of simple Coppola Rosso, I'm transported back to Christmases past.  Perhaps we'll put the lights on the tree tonight and bask wistfully in their glow.

The fire is toasty and the rain is pouring on this sweet December evening...
