Easy like a Sunday mornin'

We awoke this morning to a fine dusting of snow wafting straight down, making the cloudy skies bright.  A bit of a sleep-in was enjoyed by all. The boy has breakfasted and is now happily marinating in the bath tub, where he has been for over two hours.

Laur has used her Bodum for the first time and is happy to report that the coffee is quite good, despite being Starbucks.  A fire is glowing and crackling, chicken broth is simmering for tonight's soup supper, bacon is sizzling in the pan in anticipation of eggs Benedict brunch.

This evening's soup will be almost made from almost exclusively Nova Scotian ingredients - local chicken, yam, potatoes and carrots, Mooshum's garlic and squash.  Only the spices and peppers are out-of-towners.

The fireplace is amazing and quite a welcome reprieve from the hum of the heat pump.

Laur is surfing for good quality speaker wire, so we can begin testing stereo loudspeaker locations.  I can't wait to listen to the new system.

KPLU plays softly on this lazy Sunday morning.

I wish you could all come over.
