It's late and I was just getting ready to hit the sack when I saw Tru go to the door and listen. Taking my cue from him, I opened the door and had a quick look around. The first thing I noticed is the reflection from the moon off the car - Laur parked the car near to the house which caused some unfamiliar reflections.
But more importantly, I heard the first itty-bitty harbingers of spring - The Spring Peepers! They are singing rather slowly, sporadically and in isolation but they are singing nonetheless! It's hard to believe such a wee frog can produce such a loud call.
Spring has arrived.
And happy birthday to Kookum!
