The power situation has been resolved. Although we were unable to contact our neighbour, NS Power advised that the same pole can be used. The length of the easement was negligible, so the power company is simply going to shorten the guy line so that it stays on the utility right-of-way.
Temporary power will go in today and the builder will arrange for the hook up. Problem solved!
With power to the site, the carpenters will start next week. This is the most exciting part of the job, as far as I'm concerned - framing is relatively fast and makes a huge visual impact. The builder should have some great photos in the coming weeks.
The well might also be drilled today - apparently the driller likes to do a few at a time and is in the area today.
